Dr. Field is currently a 2016-17 Faculty Fellow in the Charles Warren Center for Studies in American History at Harvard University. \u0026nbsp;She is the author of the forthcoming book,\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EGrowing Up with the Country: Family, Race, and Nation after the Civil War\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/em\u003E(Yale University Press, 2017). The book traces her ancestors\u0026rsquo; migratory lives between the Civil War and the Great Migration. She has served as Assistant Editor to David Levering Lewis\u0026#39;\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EW.E.B. Du Bois: A Biography\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/em\u003E(Henry Holt, 2009) and has been awarded fellowships from the Ford Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and the Huntington Library.
