The keynote address, "The Pathology of Middle Eastern Studies" will be delivered by Prof. Martin Kramer, President of Shalem College and author of Ivory Towers on Sand. H.E. Ambassador Rachad Bouhlal, from the Embassy of Morocco, has been invited to deliver remarks at the opening session. There will be a professional networking reception, film screenings, and an extensive book display with the latest titles on the Middle East and Africa. But perhaps most importantly, ample opportunities for attendees to interact with colleagues from around the globe, engage in lively discourse, and expand their body of knowledge on pertinent topics affecting the regions.
