During that time, he repositioned the business andshifted its focusto live events and online communities and away from its legacy magazines. Before joining UBM, David was chief executive of Symbian Software, the software group that built the operating system to power the first generation of smartphones.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EDavid holds a bachelor\u0027s degree in politics, philosophy, and economics from Oxford University and a M.B.A. from Stanford University.
