She brought cross-disciplinary leadership and\u0026nbsp;program building strength to the European Center at the University and the\u0026nbsp;Scandinavian Studies\u0026nbsp;Program and was successful in securing external funding in these areas.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EIn addition, she is\u0026nbsp;highly respected for excellence and innovation in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, for\u0026nbsp;developing interesting and\u0026nbsp;engaging curricular options,\u0026nbsp;and\u0026nbsp;for leadership and\u0026nbsp;service.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EStenport was trained at the University of California at Berkeley\u0026nbsp;with emphases in French, German, and Scandinavian Studies and in cultural geography.
