The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) formalizes a long-standing collaboration. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe MOU expresses the partners\u2019 intentions to strengthen ties with the aim to enhance research, knowledge exchange, stakeholder engagement, career development, and leadership in environmental sciences and engineering, and policy research. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u201cThe Memorandum provides a valuable framework for collaborations for the betterment of the environment by advancing dialogue among stakeholders regarding the environment, energy, and climate change,\u201d said Kaye Husbands Fealing, chair of the School of Public Policy in Georgia Tech\u2019s Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. Fealing and public policy professor Marilyn A. Brown led formation of the agreement and will implement and manage it on behalf of Georgia Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe MOU was signed by Georgia Tech by President G.P. \u201cBud\u201d Peterson and G. Alan Farmer, division director of EPA Regional Resource Conservation and Restoration.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cGeorgia Tech has had a fruitful relationship with the EPA which has expressed its confidence in the quality of our work by providing significant research funds,\u201d said G.P. \u201cBud\u201d Peterson, president of the Georgia Institute of Technology. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHeather McTeer Toney, Regional Administrator for the EPA said, \u201cInstitutions like Georgia Tech are an incredible asset, because of the skilled resources at their disposal.
