<value>
Research Ambitions
The Serious Games Initiative is aiming at the use of gaming technologies for purposes other than entertainment. I believe that Georgia Tech should not only be known for its academics and research in the gaming field. As the leading engineering university, Georgia Tech should also develop new applications that utilize the newest visualization technologies and then implement, test, and use those applications in the educational curriculum and in the daily campus operations.

Georgia Tech’s Strategic Plan challenges all of us to take the lead in the use of new technologies. The Imagine Lab will contribute by collaborating with other parties to define the goals and strategies and by providing its expertise and resources to create the Virtual Campus as part of the Georgia Tech Strategic Plan.

Recent Publications
Gentry, T.
