55656 profile 1273681531 1459393750 <![CDATA[Daniel Baerlecken]]> Daniel Baerlecken is an Assistant Professor of Architecture in the School of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research and teaching is focused on digital design and design methodologies, which relate to the evolution of new paradigms in architectural design and practice through technology, fabrication, and performative aspects.

His award-winning work has been published in more than 30 papers by the International Journal of Architectural Computing, the Journal of Architectural Education, eCAADe, CAADRIA and ACADIA as well as exhibited at the Architectural Biennale in Venice, the Art Basel, the Designer’s Saturday, and the Musée Jurassien d'Art et d'Histoire.
He is the founder and design principal of BFR lab, office for architecture, design and research, which has won numerous awards in international design competitions. He has significant professional experience as project designer and design architect for Zaha Hadid Architects.
He received his diploma in Architecture with honors from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and from the University of Applied Science Vienna, Austria, in the master class of Zaha Hadid.
