We then outline cloud computing architecture, delivery models, management, types and transformation to a cloud environment. With this basis, we examine the greening of computing leveraging clouds, including consolidation, efficiency, dynamic allocation, workload migration, remote capabilities and other optimizations. We examine specific applications of clouds and provide quantification of the benefits for some of the types of clouds and optimizations. Finally, we look at using cloud computing including clouds for collaboration, mobile and smarter planet applications.

Bios:

Dr. Daniel M.
