This talks reviews some \npopular methods for temporal surveillance and proposes a general \nframework for spatial and spatiotemporal surveillance based onlikelihood \nratio statistics over windows of tests. We show that the CUSUM and other \npopular likelihood ratio statistics are special cases under such a \ngeneral framework.
