{"54713":{"#nid":"54713","#data":{"type":"event","title":"CULC Prototype Classroom Open House","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003ECapital Planning and Space Management presents a campus open house for the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons Prototype Classroom, located in the Engineering Science and Mechanics Building.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EBased on the SCALE-UP (Student-Centered Activities for Large Enrollment\nUndergraduate Programs) model developed at North Carolina State by\nRobert Beichner, the CULC Prototype Classroom is being used be used across multiple disciplines\u2014including engineering, biology,\nmodern languages and English\u2014as well as by the Center for the\nEnhancement of Teaching and Learning. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe room contains several Innovative features, such as no \u0022teaching wall,\u0022 writing surfaces on all four walls, and three plasma screens mounted on two of the walls.
