Each of the following programs \u2014 Small Act Big Impact, EngageATL, and Into the Streets \u2014will connect new students with Tech\u2019s tradition of service and provide opportunities for students to how to meaningful engage with civic engagement at Georgia Tech throughout the upcoming year.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003ESmall Act Big Impact \u003C\/em\u003Eis a summer-long collection drive to benefit Atlanta Mission, one of Tech\u2019s community partners. New students and their families are encouraged to bring a donation of travel-sized toiletry items and\/or art supplies to their FASET session. On Friday, Aug. 19, at 5 p.m. in the Student Center, students are invited to volunteer alongside upper-class students, faculty, and staff to assemble all the donated items into critical needs kits for Atlanta Mission, which strives to end homelessness in Atlanta. Last year, more than 5,000 items were donated and 1,118 critical needs kits were packaged. Sponsored by the Division of Student Life and the Center for Serve-Learn-Sustain, EngageATL will provide a group-oriented, community-based service experiences where participants engage with the Georgia Tech and Atlanta community through direct service projects with community organizations and an emphasis on sustainable communities. With a small team of student leaders, participants will learn about sustainability and civic engagement at Georgia Tech. Registration will close Aug. 1, at 5 p.m. Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.\u0026nbsp;The cost of attendance for\u0026nbsp;EngageATL\u0026nbsp;is $225.For more information, including the registration link, visit engage.gatech.edu.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003EInto the Streets \u003C\/em\u003Eis Tech\u2019s annual day of service for first-year students. The event, sponsored by the student organization MOVE, will take place Saturday, Aug. 27.
