  <title><![CDATA[Leaders at CDC and CARE USA to Give Keynote Address at Health & Humanitarian Logistics Conference]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p><strong>The 2016</strong> <strong>Health &amp; Humanitarian Conference (HHL)&nbsp;co-organizers are please to announce the&nbsp;KEYNOTE SPEAKERS for the 8th annual conference:</strong></p>

<p><strong>KEYNOTE BIOS</strong></p>

<p>Dr. Anne Schuchat has spent almost 30 years in public health, in leadership roles at the CDC, the National Center for Infectious Diseases (NCID) and the Center for Global health. She will share her experience working across Africa on meningitis, pneumonia, Ebola vaccine trials, surveillance and prevention projects, as well as in China on Beijing&#39;s SARS emergency response, and the importance of collaboration in building strong supply chains and health systems around the world.</p>

<p>Michelle Nunn has spent 25 years in civic and public service, as a social entrepreneur, a nonprofit CEO and a candidate for U.S. Senate in Georgia. Michelle will share reflections on CARE&rsquo;s work fighting global poverty and providing lifesaving assistance in emergencies such as the Syrian refugee crisis, and ongoing turmoil in Yemen and Sudan, as well as disaster response efforts in places affecting by natural disasters due to El Ni&ntilde;o.</p>

<p>Dr. Sanjay Gupta is the multiple Emmy award winning chief medical correspondent for CNN. Gupta, a practicing neurosurgeon, plays an integral role in CNN&#39;s reporting on health and medical news for all of CNN&#39;s shows domestically and internationally, and contributes to CNN.com. His medical training and public health policy experience distinguishes his reporting from war zones and natural disasters, as well as on a range of medical and scientific topics, including the recent Ebola outbreak, brain injury, disaster recovery, health care reform, fitness, military medicine, and HIV/AIDS. Additionally, Dr. Gupta is the host of Vital Signs for CNN International and Accent Health for Turner Private Networks.</p>

<p><strong>CONFERENCE OVERVIEW</strong></p>

<p><strong>The 2016 HHL Conference&nbsp;</strong>will feature plenary panels and interactive workshops on a variety of topics related to supply chain management and logistics in global health and humanitarian response and development, as well as a Technology Exhibit, poster sessions on innovative research, and ample opportunities for networking.
