These changes would raise the minimum salary threshold required for an employee to be considered exempt from overtime from $23,660 annually to $47,476 annually.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p2\u0022\u003EWhile the rule set was formally released May 18, Human Resources has been working for more than a year on how to ensure compliance with the proposed rule changes. Human Resources has secured a few hundred backpacks to be filled with school supplies, which will be distributed to randomly selected Georgia Tech employees with children in grades K-12 who may not have the financial means to obtain the necessary supplies for school.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p2\u0022\u003EThe Georgia Tech community is invited to donate supplies from a designated list. Employees are also invited to apply to receive a backpack.
