536241 news 1463344825 1475896899 <![CDATA[In Memoriam: Joseph H. Hopkins]]> Joseph Hopkins, a 22-year-old mechanical engineering undergraduate, died last week following an accident that occurred while hiking the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina.

A native of Marietta, Hopkins recently completed his first semester at Georgia Tech, having transferred from Georgia College and State University.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, 799 Washington Street, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425-0807.
