The Georgia Tech volleyball team (13-6, 7-2 ACC) welcomes the Duke Blue Devils (17-4, 7-2 ACC) in a conference matchup. Georgia Tech students admitted free with BuzzCard.
This game coincides with the team's fourth annual "Dig For The Cure" fundraiser. In the last three years, more than $16,000 has been raised by Georgia Tech for breast cancer research.
Parents, fans, businesses and coworkers may pledge amounts for every dig the Yellow Jackets (as a team) record against Duke, or they can make flat donations to the cause. Georgia Tech marketing representatives will have a table set up in the lobby of O'Keefe Gym before both matches next weekend against Wake Forest (Oct. 23) and Duke to collect donations.
The Yellow Jackets will hold several raffles throughout the night to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. As part of the fundraiser, Georgia Tech will wear pink jerseys designed by Russell Athletic and auction off all jerseys online following the conclusion of the match.
