Todd, president\nand CEO of the Georgia Cancer Coalition, as the 2010 recipient of the Ivan\nAllen Jr. Prize for Progress and Service.\u0026nbsp;\nTodd will accept the award during the College\u2019s annual Founder\u2019s Day event\non Monday, March 15, in the Georgian Ballroom at The Biltmore.\u0026nbsp; Todd\u2019s acceptance speech at 1:00 p.m. will\nbe free and open to the public as space permits.\u0026nbsp; \u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;A Georgia Tech alumnus, Todd has devoted 38 years\nto healthcare and technology management in Atlanta and currently leads the\nGeorgia Cancer Coalition in efforts to make the state a national leader in\ncancer care and reduce cancer deaths among Georgians. \u0026nbsp;Ivan Allen College\nInterim Dean Kenneth J. Knoespel highlighted Todd\u2019s embodiment of the values\nand principles of former Atlanta Mayor Ivan Allen Jr.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u201cBill Todd is an extraordinary humanitarian and community\nleader.\u0026nbsp; His accomplishments and\nsteadfast commitment embody Mayor Allen\u2019s advocacy and compassion. \u0026nbsp;It is our privilege to recognize his\ncontributions to our community, state and the world,\u201d said Knoespel.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003ETodd\nfounded Encina Technology Ventures and\nwas founding president of the Georgia Research Alliance.\u0026nbsp; He has held administrative posts with\nEmory University, Grady Memorial Hospital, Wesley Woods, Emory Clinic, and\nEmory\u2019s School of Medicine and Woodruff Health Sciences Center. Throughout his\ncareer, Todd has served on the boards of some of Atlanta\u2019s most influential\ncivic and business entities and in organizations that have provided strategic\nguidance for Georgia Tech.\u0026nbsp; He has\nbeen honored in Northern Ireland for his work to further peace in that region. \u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003ETodd will be the tenth leader to receive the Ivan Allen Jr. Award\nfor Progress and Service.
