His text, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.ahimastore.org\/ProductDetailBooks.aspx?ProductID=17347\u0022\u003EContemporary Health Informatics\u003C\/a\u003E, was published in the spring of 2014. \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Health-Informatics-SpringerBriefs-Computer-Science\/dp\/1461456282\u0022\u003EHealth Informatics in the Cloud\u003C\/a\u003E, a brief guide to health informatics for non-technical readers, was published in 2012.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAs Associate Director for Health Systems at the Institute for People and Technology he fosters interdisciplinary research and teaching directed at re-engineering the healthcare delivery system. At the Tennenbaum Institute he is involved in research in healthcare process mining.\u0026nbsp; At the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/i3l.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EInteroperability \u0026amp; Integration Innovation Lab\u003C\/a\u003E (I3L), he is involved in community and industry outreach projects with lab partners aimed at more facile adoption of HIT to improve the quality and efficiency of care delivery.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHe is an Associate Editor of the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/jbhi.embs.org\/\u0022\u003EIEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics\u003C\/a\u003E and an invited contributor to the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.informationweek.com\/author-bio.asp?author_id=1000\u0022\u003EInformation Week HealthCare blog\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EPrior to joining Georgia Tech in 2007 he founded several successful health IT companies.
