  <title><![CDATA[Archel Bernard seeks to help survivors of the Ebola pandemic rebuild, while pushing past the country’s boundaries on fashion]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p dir="ltr">STaC alumna (2011), Archel Bernard,&nbsp;was featured this month by the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/07/fashion/liberia-designer-ebola-survivors-archel-bernard.html?_r=2" target="_blank">New York Times Fashion &amp; Style</a> section for the work that she is doing in Monrovia, Liberia. She started a clothing line and boutique in 2013 called <a href="https://www.facebook.com/MangoRags/" target="_blank">Mango Rags</a>, and then the Ebola outbreak occurred. She left Liberia, but after returning, her new company, <a href="http://www.shopbombchel.com/" target="_blank">The Bombchel Factory</a>, is becoming a place that fosters a supportive new community for Ebola survivors and edgy fashion that challenges convention.
