489411 news 1453461974 1475896827 <![CDATA[Georgia Tech Closing Early Due to Winter Weather Concerns]]> Due to winter weather concerns, Georgia Tech's main campus in Atlanta will be closing Friday, Jan. 22, at noon. The decision comes following a state of emergency issued by Governor Nathan Deal that will close state offices tomorrow at noon as well. Staff and students are encouraged to work with supervisors and/or instructors on any issues that arise from the suspension of normal campus operations. The Georgia Tech Office of Emergency Preparedness will continue monitoring conditions. Any updates or changes will be posted to the Georgia Tech website (gatech.edu) as well as its Facebook page (facebook.com/georgiatech) and its Twitter account (twitter.com/georgiatech).
