{"489291":{"#nid":"489291","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Recapping the FLAMEL Hackathon","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003EThe FLAMEL program held a two-day hackathon, Dec. 11 and 14, where approximately 20 students worked together on the development of PyMKS and resolved some of the issues on the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/github.com\/materialsinnovation\/pymks\/issues\u0022\u003EGithub repository\u003C\/a\u003E.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.flamel.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EFLAMEL\u003C\/a\u003E is an integrative graduate education and research trainee (IGERT) program funded by the National Science Foundation and locally led by Regents\u2019 Professor Richard Fujimoto (CSE). It is designed to guide students from disparate educational backgrounds -- such as computer science, computational science, mathematics, engineering, and the physical sciences \u2014 toward developing new, high-performance materials.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003EThe hackathon drew students interested in learning about Python, PyMKS, Github and\/or general software development practices.
