Policy-makers, practitioners and academics from multiple disciplines involved with transport planning and engineering, public health, urban planning, spatial and architectural design, environmental planning, economics and beyond will convene at Mineta Transportation Institute\/San Jose State University located in San Jose, California (USA),\u0026nbsp;13-15 June 2016,\u0026nbsp;to share their stories of success and failure; build world-wide collaborative friendships; but most importantly, leave inspired!\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EICTH is the only conference dedicated to transport infrastructure and health impacts. \u0026nbsp;It is designed to bridge the gap between scientific investigation and real-world application.\u0026nbsp;Throughout this avant garde conference experience, interactive Hot Topic Workshops and abstract presentations (oral, pecha kucha and poster) will be led by a cross-disciplinary team of international experts to demonstrate\u0026nbsp;\u201chow\u201d\u0026nbsp;non-traditional thinking can lead to creative problem solving.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe afternoon of\u0026nbsp;Sunday, 12 June 2016, has been set aside as Camp ICTH with a special road trip session on cross-disciplinary communication. This category may include, but is not limited to, natural disasters (i.e., flooding, fire, earthquakes), acute health conditions, traumatic injuries, vehicle crashes and technological solutions such as mHealth in support of timely transport of trauma and emergency patients to a health care facility. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Ch3\u003ECash Awards\u003C\/h3\u003E\u003Cp\u003ECash prizes ($200) will be awarded to the two (2) highest scoring abstracts (including oral, Pecha Kucha and poster) in each of the following five (5) categories:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Col\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPractitioner\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EResearcher\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDoctoral Student\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EUndergraduate or Masters\u2019 Student\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPost-Doctoral\/Early Career Researcher (aged \u0026lt;35 years old or within 5 years of \u0026nbsp;degree completion\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPoster - judged on-site (separate from the high scoring abstracts)\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ol\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003EWinners of a high abstract award who have submitted as a poster will not be considered eligible to compete in the best poster competition\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Ch4\u003EPublication Opportunity\u003C\/h4\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAll accepted\/presented abstracts will be published in an online supplement to the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.journals.elsevier.com\/journal-of-transport-and-health\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EJournal of Transport and Health\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/a\u003E(JTH) and the conference programme app.\u0026nbsp; Based on the topic area of interest, selected abstract authors will be asked to submit a full manuscript to the JTH following the conference.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003ENOTE: YOU MUST PRESENT AT ICTH TO RECEIVE AN INVITATION TO PUBLISH.\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;Submitted manuscripts will undergo a formal peer-review process.
