If you have further questions email \u003Ca href=\u0022mailto:h1n1@health.gatech.edu\u0022\u003Eh1n1@health.gatech.edu\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EMembers of the priority groups include:\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPregnant women\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPeople who live with or care for\u0026nbsp;infants younger than 6 months of age\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EHealthcare and emergency medical services personnel with direct patient contact\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPeople with chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EAll students, faculty and staff 18 years old and older will have the opportunity to receive the vaccine beginning Wednesday, November 11. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Stamps Health Center personnel will administer vaccines at the Crescent Room of the Student Center. Those interested may register online at the Stamps Web site, similar to signing up for seasonal flu shots across campus. Walk-ups will be accepted at the site, as time and resources permit. While the H1N1 vaccine is free, recipients will need to show their BuzzCards.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EHealth Services Director Jon Baker says the vaccine is made from inactive (non-living) virus samples, and only one shot is required. \u0022Because of the type of vaccine we were given, we are only able to provide it to those 18 and older,\u0022 said Baker. He also stressed that there is no required waiting period between the seasonal flu shot and the H1N1 vaccine. \u0022We still encourage those who have not received the seasonal flu shot to do so. We will also have it available at the clinics for those who want to receive it.\u0022\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003ETwo additional H1N1 Flu Shot Clinics are scheduled for next week. \u0022We\u0027ve set up additional days at the Student Center,\u0022 he said.
