{"44100":{"#nid":"44100","#data":{"type":"event","title":"GIS in Teaching and Research","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EWe would like to invite you to attend the forth \u0022GIS in Teaching \u0026amp; Research\u0022 symposium -- a Strategic Initiative of the University System of Georgia -- to be held in the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) Klaus Building Room 1116 on Thursday and Friday, February 14 and 15, 2008.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EAs always, the primary goal of the initiative is to provide a forum to allow University System of Georgia faculty and researchers to share GIS expertise and experience.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EIn addition to the 2-day core symposium, and as an added bonus this year, an \u003Cstrong\u003EOption Day \u003C\/strong\u003Ewill be offered on February 13th. The Option Day will allow additional participation in one of the following focused workshops (schedule\/format forthcoming):\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EGIS for Facilities Mapping (link to past workshop for reference)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nGIS for Conservation in Georgia (new topic!)\u003C\/strong\u003E\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EAs in the past, presenters at the core symposium will represent wide ranges of discipline from across the university system and the sessions will be designed to promote information exchange among the participants.
