The competition is open to currently enrolled Tech doctoral students who are actively engaged in research.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201c3MT got its start at the University of Queensland and is now held at universities around the world. That\u2019s why we\u2019re so excited to host our own,\u201d said Susan Cozzens, vice provost for Graduate Education and Faculty Development. \u201cThe goal of the competition is to get students to think about how to explain their research concisely \u2014 a valuable skill that everyone should possess.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe winner of the competition will take home a $2,000 research travel grant with additional prize amounts ranging from $500-1,500.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EWorkshops to help students prepare for the competition will be held in September.
