{"426061":{"#nid":"426061","#data":{"type":"event","title":"New GRA\/GTA Payroll and Social Security Processing","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EFor the convenience of graduate students with on-campus employment, the Office of Human Resources offers a Payroll and Social Security Processing Session during the week prior to the beginning of classes.\u0026nbsp; \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EGraduate Students who have Graduate Assistantships (GRAs, GTAs or GAs) must attend this event in order to submit documents for payroll processing and begin the \u201conboarding process.\u201d Foreign nationals without Social Security numbers will also have the opportunity to apply for a SSN on-site. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EYou do not need a Social Security Number in order to be hired by Tech, but you will need to provide OHR with your number when you receive it. See\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.ohr.gatech.edu\/graduateprocessing\u0022\u003EOHR\u2019s website\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;for instructions on how to prepare for your visit and complete the necessary forms.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EHR forms are available on\u0026nbsp;OHR\u2019s website\u0026nbsp;and should be filled out ahead of time.\u0026nbsp; Leave items blank if you do not know the answers.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr \/\u003EYou should bring the following to Payroll Processing:\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003ECurrent Passport plus 2 photocopies of biopage and visa stamp\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EOriginal I-20 or DS-2019 plus 2 photocopies\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EOriginal I-94 plus 2 photocopies\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech prefers that employees set up direct deposit (your paycheck is deposited directly into your personal bank account).
