In 1991, Mr. Jackson moved to SouthTrust where his leadership responsibility grew from regional manager of East Metro Atlanta in 1991, managing an $800 million loan portfolio,\u0026nbsp; to regional president of SouthTrust in\u0026nbsp; Jacksonville, Florida.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;In December 2004, Mr. Jackson co-founded Bank of Atlanta and served as the president and CEO. The bank was acquired by the $3 billion State Bank and Trust in 2014. Mr. Jackson currently serves as Executive VP and Market President of State Bank and Trust.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EA DeKalb County native, John has a deep commitment to the Atlanta community. He serves on the boards of the Winship Cancer Institute, Covenant House of Georgia and the Carter Center Board of Councilors.He is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
