{"408311":{"#nid":"408311","#data":{"type":"news","title":"RBI Poster Session Connects Students to Industry","body":[{"value":"\u003Cbr \/\u003EKetki Sharma, Cait Meree and Chad Hume\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe RBI invited PSE students to participate in a poster session and contest during its recent inaugural symposium, \u201cAdvances in Lignocellulosic Processes and Products.\u201d The posters were judged by about 50 guests from the chemical, fuel, materials and pulp and paper industries, faculty, and from national affiliated organizations and laboratories such as the USDA Forest Products Laboratory and the Agenda 2020 industry alliance.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EChad Hume, a PhD candidate in mechanical engineering (advisor: David Rosen), won first place for his poster, \u201cDesign and Analysis of Press Fabric Structures for Improved Dewatering.\u201d Cait Meree placed second with \u201cProcessing Property Characterization For Cellulosic Nanocomposite Films and Hydrogels Produced via Water-Based Processing Methods;\u201d she is a PhD candidate in Materials Science and Engineering studying with associate professor Meisha Shofner.
