Georgia Institute of Technology sustained its top-ten ranking among public universities, according to the recently released U.S. News & World Report's Best Colleges for undergraduate rankings, maintaining its seventh place standing among national public universities and ranking 35th for all U.S. universities and colleges.
The Institute's College of Engineering, the nation's largest, continued to have its program nationally recognized by having seven of its schools ranked in the top five for their discipline.
The School of Industrial and Systems Engineering maintained its top ranking, and Aerospace Engineering ranked second in its discipline. Biomedical Engineering and Civil Engineering both ranked third. Mechanical Engineering ranked fourth among its peers, and Electrical Engineering and Environmental Engineering both ranked fifth in their disciplines.
Georgia Tech's College of Management rose from 35th last year to 31st this year.
Tech was also highlighted in 'Programs to Look For' for its co-op, internship, senior capstone and undergraduate research programs.
