It is the intention of this course to explore the art of drawing in both theory and technique in order to explore the natural world around us. Studio work will begin with a series of direct observation exercises using still life constructions. Each student will be asked to investigate a relevant topic from discussions on biology and nature using the visual drawing methods taught. Media is mixed, from pencil, charcoal, to watercolor, all can be introduced and used in this section.
