Adkins, Kappa Alpha Psi, EE \u002781, MSEE \u002783\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E Rod is the senior vice president of Corporate Strategy at IBM.\u0026nbsp; He has served the company for more than 30 years in a variety of positions, leading global teams, managing multi-billion dollar business units, and developing product innovations and enterprise solutions. Rod was inducted into the National Academy of Engineers in 2005, and is a member of the Executive Leadership Council for the National Society of Black Engineers. Within his fraternity, Rod is known to be the Founder of the Lambda Delta Chapter at Georgia Tech, and continues to serve on the local and national levels in leadership.\u0026nbsp; Rod\u2019s service to Kappa Alpha Psi has garnered him recognition as well.\u0026nbsp; He will be receiving the Fraternity\u2019s Laurel Wreath this summer.\u0026nbsp; This award is the highest honor bestowed upon a member of the Fraternity.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EJames R. Borders, Phi Delta Theta, ME \u002783\u003Cbr \/\u003E \u003C\/strong\u003EJim is the founding president and CEO of Novare Group, a successful property development firm based in Atlanta.\u0026nbsp; His work on projects in Midtown Atlanta, have been credited for the economic resurgence in this area of the city and for creating the vibrant lifestyle to Midtown.\u0026nbsp; In addition to his professional career, Jim has served as an officer on his chapter\u2019s alumni association board.\u0026nbsp; He was instrumental in preparing the chapter\u2019s strategic plan, which increased membership, alumni support, and stronger chapter operations.\u0026nbsp; His service to Georgia Tech is also unwavering.\u0026nbsp; Jim is generous donor to the Institute, having been recognized as a member of the Hill Society.\u0026nbsp; He has also served on the Alumni Association board of trustees, the Georgia Tech Foundation, the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, and the Alexander-Tharpe Fund.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EJoseph W. Evans, Tau Kappa Epsilon, IM \u002771\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E As he states in his talks with undergraduate students, Joe came to Georgia Tech with the sole intention of \u201cmaking himself employable.\u201d\u0026nbsp; Joe did just that.\u0026nbsp; He has spent his career since graduation in the banking industry, elevating himself to the position as chairman and CEO of State Bank Financial Corp. and its subsidiary, State Bank and Trust.\u0026nbsp; He is also strong supporter of the place that got him to point.\u0026nbsp; He has served Georgia Tech\u2019s Scheller College of Business on the Advisory Board, and founded the Dean\u2019s Scholarship Program in 2009.\u0026nbsp; Since that time, he and his wife have endowed three Reana W. and Je W. Evans Dean\u2019s Scholarships.\u0026nbsp; His support of students continues with his involvement at his fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon.\u0026nbsp; Joe regularly visits the chapter house at meal times, speaking to the members about his experiences and offering advice for their lives and careers.\u0026nbsp; He has also served as a speaker at Greek Leadership Breakfasts.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EDr. Valerie Montgomery Rice, Delta Sigma Theta, Chem \u002783\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E Dr. Montgomery Rice serves at the resident of the Morehouse School of Medicine, and is the nation\u2019s first African-American woman to lead a free-standing medical school.\u0026nbsp; As a trained medical doctor, she specialized in obstetrics and gynecology.\u0026nbsp; Her academic and professional background led to founding the Meharry\u2019s Center for Women\u2019s Health Research in Nashville, TN.\u0026nbsp; Her research on women\u2019s health, especially with women of color, has garnered her international prestige. At Georgia Tech, Dr. Montgomery Rice continues to give of her time and treasure for the benefit of students.\u0026nbsp; She has served as a keynote speaker at the annual Women\u2019s Leadership Conference, Diversity Symposium, and GT Health Connect South.\u0026nbsp; She serves on the College of Engineering External Advisory Board and on the GT Alumni Association Board of Trustees.\u0026nbsp; She has also contributed significantly to the success of her sorority chapter with housing initiatives and homecoming activities.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EJane Skelton, Alpha Gamma Delta, IM \u002777\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E Jane is a dedicated professional to the financial industry in Atlanta, currently serving as the CFO of InfiCorp Holdings, Inc.\u0026nbsp; She offered her professional talents in service to her sorority, where she served as the financial advisor to the chapter for 19 years following her graduation.\u0026nbsp; Additionally, she co-sponsors the Gamma Phi Memorial Scholarship that supports current undergraduate members who face financial hardship during their college career.\u0026nbsp; Jane has also been a long-time donor to Georgia Tech, having been recognized as a member of the Founder\u2019s Council. She remains actively involved in church, attending mission trips, and as a board member for ArtWithin.\u0026nbsp; Jane is often described as humble woman, never seeking recognition for her service to others.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EJanice N.
