Coulter Distinguished Department of Biomedical Engineering, as only the second person from his country to be elected to the National Academy of Engineers (NAE), \u201cone of the highest professional honours accorded an engineer in the United States,\u201d according to the \u003Cem\u003ETimes\u003C\/em\u003E story entitled, \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.sundaytimes.lk\/150308\/plus\/new-honour-for-lankan-scientist-138523.html\u0022\u003E\u201cNew honour for Lankan scientist.\u0022\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cI am extremely proud of the translational impact my research has had on the field,\u201d Yoganathan told the newspaper.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EYoganathan, who is the Wallace H. Coulter Distinguished Chair and holds a joint appointment in the School of Chemical \u0026amp; Biomolecular Engineering, joins H.
