Scrap the Scale

Many individuals over-utilize weight scales in evaluating health and allow a number on a scale to dictate their mood and lifestyle. This event is planned to encourage students to evaluate their health and wellness in holistic ways and encourage them to step away from the daily weighing that can be so constricting. During this event, participants will be encouraged to smash weight scales, and the scrap metal will be use to create works of art.

This event is part of GT Campaign for EveryBody Week which is a week of programming put on by the GT Body Image Committee (led by the Women's Resource Center and Health Promotion). Scrap the Scale is a collaboration between the Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders (ACED), GT Body Image Committee, Eating Disorder Treatment Team, Collegiate Panhellenic Council, and the Counseling Center.

<!-- Disquisition: it's funny how I write these TODOs and then never
revisit them. It's as though the act of writing the thing down frees me
