Williams, Ph.D. Manger GlaxoSmithKline, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709</p><p>Mass spectrometry (MS) has become an essential tool for the study of biological problems. &nbsp;Besides being the bedrock analytical technique for proteomics and metabolomics, it is an indispensable at GSK for recombinant protein quality control, post-translational site modification identification, biochemical assays, and protein quantitation.&nbsp; This seminar will demonstrate how the GSK-RTP biological MS team has impacted drug discovery operations by creating and adopting new technologies and collaborating and engaging with other drug discovery scientists.&nbsp; Featured will be highlights from non-denaturing mass spectrometry efforts, chemical proteomics, and high throughput MS screening.&nbsp; The strategy and rationale for using metabolomics in drug discovery and clinical development will also be provided.&nbsp;</p>]]></value>
