Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME), do you have what it takes to be part of an exclusive pediatric bioengineering program? Ten undergraduate students from across the country will have that unprecedented opportunity later this year in the new Pediatric Engineering Summer Experience.

Students will work in a lab on a pediatric bioengineering project, shadow clinicians to gain a better understanding of pediatric medicine, and receive training in scientific reading, writing and processes.

The program is made possible through BME – a collaborative department of the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University – as well Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Emory’s School of Medicine, and Emory’s Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURE, a nationally recognized program with a 25-year record of training undergraduates in cutting-edge scientific research).
