The project was proposed by Neal Stephenson, author of \u003Cem\u003EThe Diamond Age\u003C\/em\u003E, \u003Cem\u003ECryptonomicon\u003C\/em\u003E, and many groundbreaking SF novels, proposed this project, and the result is\u0026nbsp; \u003Cem\u003EHieroglyph: Stories and Visions for a Positive Future\u003C\/em\u003E, an anthology of positive SF visions, grew from this project, and illustrates how we might frame present and future problems in a positive manner. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EStephenson, Elizabeth Bear, Cory Doctorow, Greg Benford, and other prominent SF writers also participated in the anthology. \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe Washington, D.C., book launch began at the Eisenhower Building, next to the White House.
