  <title><![CDATA[Georgia Tech People and Technology Forum]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p class="p1">Georgia Tech’s Institute for People and Technology hosts its annual People &amp; Technology Forum on November 11-12, 2014 at the&nbsp;<a href="http://ipatforum.gatech.edu/location">Georgia Tech Global Learning Center</a>.</p><p class="p1">This 2014 Forum will focus on “Connected Life” with keynotes and panel discussions providing thought-provoking discussions with insightful business leaders, brilliant researchers, and entrepreneurs examining how emerging technologies will shape the future of our society.&nbsp; Panel discussions will focus on the future of smart cities and live, work, play communities; predictive and personalized healthcare; and connected cars and the future of driving.&nbsp;The keynote speakers for this year are Jia Chen, Director of Health Solutions for Smarter Cities at IBM; Kwanza Hall, Councilman, City of Atlanta; Bill Stead, Associate Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and Chief Strategy Officer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center; and Jeff Leddy, Chief Executive Officer of Verizon Telematics.</p><p class="p1">Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with over 100 startup, faculty, and student demos including a showcase of student innovations from CIC, a highly successful Georgia Tech student competition designed to tap into the innovative thinking and technical expertise of GT students.&nbsp;</p><p class="p1">Past companies in attendance include: AT&amp;T, Qualcomm, Panasonic, Steelcase, GM, Nielsen, Cisco, Coca-Cola, Cox Communications, Moxie, ESPN, Equifax, Hitachi, Humana, IBM, Invesco, Motorola Mobility, NCR, SunTrust, Turner, and UPS.
