The Federal Bureau of Investigation will discuss process by which an individual or group comes to adopt increasingly extreme political, social, or religious ideals and aspirations that (1) reject or undermine the status quo or (2) reject and/or undermine contemporary ideas and expressions of freedom of choice. Participants will learn how this process can be effective on a college campus, as well as potential indicators of self-radicalization. Note: Each semester one or two special topic courses will be added to the elective courses within the Emergency Preparedness Certificate program.
