Salmon\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESpeaker\u0027s Title and Affiliation: \u003C\/strong\u003EDirector, Network OPS Centers, AT\u0026amp;T\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESeminar Title:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cem\u003E AT\u0026amp;T \u2013 More than Mobile Phones\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAbstract:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThis brief seminar will quickly guide the audience through one of AT\u0026amp;T\u0027s premier service offerings outside of standard mobile voice and SMS communication.\u0026nbsp; The speaker will provide insights into how AT\u0026amp;T enables customers to securely and reliably extend their WAN infrastructure to mobile end points by providing standards-based connectivity options between the enterprise and cellular networks.\u0026nbsp; Furthermore, the speaker will enlighten the audience on AT\u0026amp;T\u0027s past, present, and future service offerings.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022BodyText\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESpeaker Bio:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EAs Director Mobility Network OPS Centers for AT\u0026amp;T, Michael Salmon leads a team of eight managers and 157 employees responsible for 24x7 network operation support and network integration for the mobility data core network. \u0026nbsp;Michael\u2019s team is the primary interface between network operations, network engineering, AT\u0026amp;T Labs, and a variety of vendor partners.\u0026nbsp; Michael and his team focus on first time isolation to resolve network issues across the mobility data core network and time to market for implementation and deployment to meet network capacity demands.\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ESince joining AT\u0026amp;T in 1996, Michael has held positions across Customer CARE, Network Operations, Network Security RF and Wireless Performance. Michael was recognized for developing the Customer CARE Quality Assurance Program in 1997 and the mobility ASPR (AT\u0026amp;T Security Policy Requirements) program in 2000. He was a member of the AT\u0026amp;T Wireless Tiger Team that helped to deploy the GSM network in 2003 and part of the team that deployed the first generation iPhone in 2007. Also, he served as a key contributor to a Fine EDGE Project that helped AT\u0026amp;T Wireless develop the fastest wireless mobility data network within the industry.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EMichael is a proud member of AT\u0026amp;T\u2019s patent family. He co-invented Mark the SPOT, an app for iPhone and Android devices, and invented WISE (AT\u0026amp;T WiFi Intelligent Selection Engine) app for Android windows devices. Additionally, he is the co-inventor of Estimating Achievable Download Speed from passive measurements across wireless data networks.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EMichael was one of only 50 leaders across AT\u0026amp;T selected to participate in the 2011 Accelerated Development Program (ADP) \u2013 a year-long, intensive AT\u0026amp;T experience designed to advance business acumen and increase strategic perspective as preparation for future leadership opportunities.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EMichael is an active member of AT\u0026amp;T\u2019s Network Ambassador Program and a volunteer within AT\u0026amp;T Network Disaster Recovery Program.\u0026nbsp; He is a mentor to participants within AT\u0026amp;T\u2019s Netrex and Corporate Leadership Development Programs.\u0026nbsp; Within the community, Michael is a member of the ATP Volunteer Board (Association of Telecommunications Professionals).\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EMichael earned an engineering degree from ITT Technical Institute, a business management degree from the University of Phoenix, and a master\u0027s in information technology with MBA concentration from Webster University.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHe lives in Atlanta with his wife Amber Lee-Salmon and daughter Mechele Jada-Lee Salmon.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003ESeminar with Mr. Michael A.
