{"332911":{"#nid":"332911","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Scheller Ranked 8th in Corporate Knights\u2019 Global 100 Sustainable MBA Programs","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech\u0027s Scheller College of Business is ranked eigth\u0026nbsp;in \u003Cem\u003ECorporate Knights\u003C\/em\u003E magazine\u2019s Global 100 Sustainable MBA rankings for success at integrating sustainability into the school experience.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EFor this year\u2019s ranking, \u003Cem\u003ECorporate Knights\u003C\/em\u003E examined the top 100 master of business administration (MBA) programs listed in the \u003Cem\u003EFinancial Times\u003C\/em\u003E\u2019 2013 Global MBA ranking, determining which best prioritized sustainability through curriculum choices, dedicated institutes and centers, and relevant faculty research.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cThe Corporate Knights ranking reflects our commitment to a world-class approach to business school education in relation to sustainability,\u201d said Operations Management Professor and Brady Family Chairholder Beril Toktay, who is faculty director of Scheller College\u2019s Center for Business Strategies for Sustainability (CBSS). \u201cCBSS supports developing curriculum, student opportunities, and faculty research that address some of the most pressing challenges \u2013 and opportunities \u2013 facing business.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ECreation of CBSS was made possible in early 2013 through a $750,000 grant from the Ray C. Anderson Foundation, followed by a $300,000 grant from the Kendeda Fund.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cWe look forward to expanding our work over time and partnering with faculty, companies, students, alumni, and others to build a sustainable and vibrant future,\u0022 said\u0026nbsp;Scheller Professor of the Practice Howard Connell, managing director of CBSS.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EIn addition to Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, the other U.S. schools ranked in the top 10 of the Global 100 Sustainable MBA are Harvard, Yale, the University of Michigan, and George Washington University.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ESince 2003, \u003Cem\u003ECorporate Knights \u003C\/em\u003Ehas aimed to rank MBA programs on how holistically they have integrated sustainability into the learning process. At first, only programs within Canada were ranked.
