Described as \u201cfor Atlanta, by Atlanta,\u201d it incorporates students in the exploration of different ambient sounds from various neighborhoods, and considers \u201cWhat does the culture of a place sound like?\u201d\u0026nbsp; The 2014 A3C Hip Hop Festival will present a screening of the project as part of its Atlanta line-up October 8-12.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe project began in Atlanta\u2019s Old Fourth Ward, with Georgia Tech students recording the sounds of the neighborhood. \u0026nbsp;KY Engineerin\u2019 will demo the work to date at the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.a3cfestival.com\u0022\u003EA3C Hip Hop Festival\u003C\/a\u003E, which also hosts \u003Cem\u003EThe Era of the Engineer\u003C\/em\u003E, a panel discussion on the relationship between audio engineers and computer engineers on Friday, Oct. 10 from 3-4PM on the #PAEmainstage at the festival in Atlanta.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EInitiated by the Office of the Arts at Georgia Tech, the \u0022Sound of Atlanta\u0022 project will be a lasting legacy piece encompassing sound, visual art, technology and the soul of the Old Fourth Ward.\u0026nbsp; The \u0022Sound of Atlanta\u0022 project will continue throughout the year with sound and visual art from other Atlanta neighborhoods. Students from other local schools, as well as local professional artists, will also participate in the project, which will culminate with a professionally produced sound and visual art installation in the spring of 2015.
