Paul will reveal some of the lessons that he has learned the hard way as well as by observing others with the desire that some of these will benefit students who are embarking on the next step of their career.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESpeaker Bio:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EPaul Emerson is currently the general manager of Kilby Labs Dallas which is a part of the CTO organization inside of Texas Instruments\u2019 Analog Business.\u0026nbsp; Prior to managing the lab, Paul spent three years managing HVAL\u2019s (High Volume Analog and Logic) New Business Proving Grounds where he led a team focused on new business and technology development.\u0026nbsp; Paul\u2019s career at TI started in 1996 and he has served as analog design engineer, engineering manager, product line manager, and business unit manager all for the Storage Products Group (SPG).\u0026nbsp; Paul was elected to the TI Technical ladder in 1999 and promoted to Senior Member, Technical Staff in 2003.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; He is the inventor or co-inventor of 10 patents in HDD (Hard Disk Drive) read\/write preamplifier circuit design.\u0026nbsp; Prior to joining TI, Paul worked as an analog design engineer at Hughes Aircraft Company in El Segundo, California. He earned his bachelor\u0027s in electrical engineering in 1991 and master\u0027s in electrical engineering in 1992 from the Georgia Institute of Technology.\u0026nbsp; Outside of work, Paul is a busy parent of three who is actively involved in church, his sons\u2019 scouting, an avid road cyclist, and various projects at home.\u003C\/p\u003E","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003ESeminar with Mr. Paul M.
