  <title><![CDATA[AMAC Accessibility Solutions awarded a 2014 Innovator Award by Campus Technology magazine]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p><em>Campus Technology</em> magazine recently announced the winners of the 10<sup>th</sup> Annual Innovator Awards, and AMAC Accessibility Solutions, a research center in the Georgia Tech College of Architecture, was a winner in the student services and systems category.</p><p>Eleven honorees were selected in six categories, out of 215 nominations submitted from higher education institutions around the globe. Entries were reviewed a group of higher ed tech leaders, many of whom are former Innovators award winners and final winners were chosen by <em>Campus Technology’s</em> team of editors.</p><p>“Congratulations goes out to AMAC on this award,” said Steve French, dean of the College of Architecture. “They offer invaluable services to students on campuses throughout the country, and are doing important research to advance technology and enhance the on-campus experience for students with disabilities. They couldn’t be more deserving of this award.”</p><p>AMAC Accessibility Solutions and Research Center develops user-centered products and services for individuals with disabilities. Their goal is to address unmet accessibility needs in government, non-profits, and corporations by providing products that benefit those with physical or cognitive impairments. They conduct research and development on a variety of electronic information and assistive technologies in an effort to increase accessibility globally.</p><p>Full coverage of the award-winning projects will appear in the July issue of <em>Campus Technology</em> and online.
