at Tech, bicycles are an ever-present mode of transport, not just a recreational vehicle to be hauled out ceremonially once a year.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ETech has catapulted forward in recent years when it comes to campus bike infrastructure.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe campus was recognized in 2012 as a Silver-level Bicycle Friendly University, a designation given by the League of American Cyclists \u2014 the same group that sponsors National Bike Month.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cThe amount of biking on campus has increased significantly,\u201d said Jason Gregory, senior educational facilities planner in\u0026nbsp;Capital Planning and Space Management (CPSM). \u201cWe\u2019re trying to make sure we are building the infrastructure that\u2019s needed and putting it in the right place.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThis spring, CPSM began the process of creating a Campus Bike Master Plan\u003Cstrong\u003E.\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;This is in part thanks to the Bicycle Infrastructure Improvement Committee (BIIC), a group of students, faculty, and staff who focus their attention on improving the cycling experience on campus.\u0026nbsp;The BIIC initially brought up the idea for a master plan.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EMeanwhile, professors and students are collaborating on projects such as \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/cycleatlanta.org\u0022\u003ECycle Atlanta\u003C\/a\u003E to make the City of Atlanta a better place to ride.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ERead more about the development of
