This is the first course in a 3-course series on becoming a Lean Supply Chain professional. Students will be introduced to lean thinking and critical lean concepts. In addition, students with become proficient problem solvers through gained skills of waste identification and use of fundamental problem solving tools to eliminate waste at the root cause.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThis first course is a pivot point in the educational process, and this is where current mental models and business paradigms will be challenged. Participants will learn to see operations from a new vantage point. Upon arrival back to the workplace, participants will be able to \u0022talk\u0022 the talk of lean and also have a keen eye for operational waste. However, the real test of the first course is when the participant can \u0022walk\u0022 the lean walk and solve business problems at the root cause, completely eliminating the problem for the organization\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Ch4\u003EINSTRUCTORS\u003C\/h4\u003E\u003Cp\u003E Robert Martichenko is CEO of LeanCor, LLC. He has years of supply chain, logistics and Lean implementation experience. This experience includes multiple Lean Supply Chain implementations supporting successful organizations including Toyota Motor Manufacturing. Robert authored the books \u0022Success in 60 Seconds\u0022 and \u0022Everything I know about Lean I Learned in First Grade.\u0022 He also co-authored the logistics management book \u0022Lean Six Sigma Logistics,\u0022 published by J. Ross Publishing and co-authored the workbook \u0022Building the Lean Fulfillment Stream,\u0022 published by the Lean Enterprise Institute.
