290691 event 1397559953 1492118562 <![CDATA[2014 Techniques Symposium]]> Annual 2-day scientific training event, offered June 3-4, 2014, aimed at offering seminars and hands-on workshops on laboratory techniques, software analysis and scientific communication for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in bioengineering and bioscience research fields. Organized by the Research Committee of the Bioengineering and Bioscience Unified Graduate Students (BBUGS) and the Petit Institute, this workshop is open to any interested Georgia Tech, Emory, Georgia State or Morehouse students.

The symposium training sessions are conducted by Georgia Tech staff and faculty, as well as invited corporate technical representatives with expertise in specific topics of interest.

Sessions are held primarily within rooms in the Petit Institute and UA Whitaker. A range of venues are used, such as seminar rooms, conference rooms, computer labs and wet labs, which allows for sessions to be taught in lecture as well as workshop demonstration formats.
