Prior to that he was the first Consul General to Los Angeles and the Western States, where he led the team that established Azerbaijan’s diplomatic presence on the West Coast. Ambassador Suleymanov holds graduate degrees from Moscow State University and the University of Toledo, Ohio. He has authored numerous articles and is a frequent presenter at academic events. He speaks Azerbaijani, Russian, English, and Czech.

Ambassador Suleymanov will be discussing present-day political issues in Eurasia. He will offer opening remarks, then open the floor for a question and answer session.
