  <title><![CDATA[Junot Diaz at Georgia Tech]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Join us for a very special guest lecture by internationally acclaimed Dominican-American writer and Pulitzer Prize winner Junot Díaz, scheduled for April 17<sup>th</sup> at Georgia Tech’s Student Center Ballroom.&nbsp; Professor Díaz’s books, <em>“Drowned”</em> and <em>“The Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao” </em>have been praised by critics for their complex presentation of the Dominican immigrant experience in the US. In addition, he is a noted advocate for social issues of vital importance to Latinos including immigration policy, educational opportunities, and community activism.</p><p>In this lecture <em>Education and Immigration in the U.S.: A Conversation with Junot </em><em>Díaz</em>, the author will address current topics regarding immigration and education and the role of public policy and activism in the improvement of Latino and immigrant communities in the United States.</p><p>The lecture will be held at 6:30 pm in the Georgia Tech Student Center Ballroom (350 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA, 30332).
