{"285771":{"#nid":"285771","#data":{"type":"event","title":"Spin transition in second Landau level","body":[{"value":"\u003Ch5\u003ESchool of Physics Colloquium Series: Dr. Wei Pan, Sandia National Laboratories\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/h5\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE) states in the second Landau level have attracted growing interests and intensive theoretical and experimental investigations due to them possibly being non-Abelian states. Recently, we systematically examined the spin polarization of the FQHE states in a series of high quality, low density two dimensional electron systems.
