  <body><![CDATA[<p>Baabak Ashuri, assistant professor of building construction and director of the Economics of the Sustainable Build Environment (ESBE) laboratory, has earned the Certified Cost Professional (CCP) designation from AACE International.&nbsp; This prominent designation recognizes Ashuri’s knowledge and experience in the building construction industry.</p><p>AACE offers independent, accredited certifications to experienced and qualified professionals.&nbsp; AACE certificate holders have demonstrated their knowledge and experiences by successfully passing a rigorous examination process.</p><p>Ashuri’s current research focuses on the identification and evaluation of flexible technologies and systems for sustainable buildings, enhancing the value of healthcare facilities by incorporating flexible features, and developing real option models for the financial assessment of PPP highway projects under traffic uncertainty. &nbsp;He specializes in economic decision analysis, strategic risk management, and project finance.
