  <title><![CDATA[Two Georgia Tech Students Awarded Whitaker International Program Grant]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>The Whitaker International Program has selected two Georgia Tech undergraduate students, Jordan Garth and Divya Natarajan, to receive undergraduate scholarship grants.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Ms. Jordan Garth has been awarded funding by the Whitaker International Program to study abroad at Hong Kong Polytechnic University during the 2014 Spring Semester. Ms. Garth is a third year biomedical engineering major, industrial design minor and takes part in the Georgia Tech co-op program. She is involved in several different campus organizations and a social sorority. In the future, Ms. Garth hopes to work with non-profit organizations that focus in global and public health.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Ms. Divya Natarajan has been awarded funding by the Whitaker Program to conduct research at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, France during the 2014 Spring Semester. Ms. Natarajan will work with lead researcher, Dr. Nicolas Reyes of the Pasteur Institute, on developing high throughput functional assays to study the role of glutamate transporters in the brain. Ms. Natarajan, a fourth year student studying biomedical engineering and biology, first visited the Pasteur Institute while studying abroad on the BEST-Lyon study abroad program led by Georgia Tech Professor Cameron Tyson.</p>]]></body>
